Overall my experience was excellent. I enjoyed my stay, the staff were professional, the room was clean and tidy and it suited my budget. Best of all the location... short walk to metro Republique, monop and monoprix supermarkets and everything else Republique has to offer and beyond to greater Paris. Perfect for young travellers and those on a budget. I highly recommend it and I would stay here again.

The Hotel is nice and in a good location. The MONOP grocery store is right across the street. The Republique metro station is close and the neighborhood has lots of cafes around it. Housekeeping does a great job of keeping the hotel clean. The rooms have terrible sound insulation, and you can easily hear your neighbors which keeps you up at night. The TV reception is horrible. The bathrooms are big with a large tub. Only some staff speak English, and the ones that do have a very perfunctory attitude towards their job.

Hot water comes on intermittently in the shower - felt like hot water was rationed throughout whole hotel. Very frustrating on a cold April morning. Front office staff wasn't helpful, even rude at times. Never staying here again!
