 This hotel is well placed for the centre of town so is good for that convenience, but, being opposite the central train station, attracts a lot of noise, so is not one to book if you are looking for a quiet stay. The hotel reception desk service was very "robotic", with no advice on services or facilities offered, just a brusque request to fill in the check-in form and the handover of the room key. The hotel bar does not have any no-smoking area either, so be prepared to step back in time when you have to put up with the smell and fog of cigarette smoke. All in all, this hotel represents a time that most other European cities have left behind and is probably in need of a refurbishment and revision of its services.- 05-Mar-2008 Very convenient location as it is near the centre of town and just opposite to the railway station. My room was clean and large, it faces the railway station but only has a sky window and no view. Has new bathroom facilities. It was quiet. The breakfast was very average but it seems all European breakfast are the same.
