fabulous place great price, very luxurious!!- 15-Aug-2007 Overall the hotel is pretty good. It's clean and the location is not too far from the Old City -- it's walking distance but it will still take about 15-20 minutes to get to the Jaffa Gate at the Old City. It's popular for tour groups to use. Note: If you plan on eating dinner there during Shabbat, make sure you do so by 8pm.
I'd recommend the Grand Court Hotel Jerusalem and would stay there again. It's a lot nicer than [other hotel], which cost 75% more than the Grand Court Hotel Jerusalem.
Safety-wise, as a single female traveller, I had no problems if you practice the usual precautions of not going about too late and sticking fairly close to the hotel.
If you're renting a car, I believe they have free parking. Sherut pricing to/from the Ben Gurion Airport is NIS45, NIS250 for a taxi (though I think locals only pay NIS160).- 28-Mar-2007 |
