 The hotel is in a beautiful location with a great view of Como. While it is quite a distance from Como town, there are so many places to visit around the lake that this is not a big problem.
The hotel is lovely, staff are freindly and nice, but the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired.- 18-Sep-2008 A very good hotel on a very beautiful location. The breakfast on the 5th floor was excellent. The service very good. The room was nice (one wall were a litlle bit unfinished) and the balcony fantastic!

We will come back to this hotel!- 14-Oct-2007 It was out special occasion weekend getaway. We called hotel in advance to notify about it. When we arrived staff never acknowledged us. We booked lake view room originally, but when we walked into our room it looked more like a walk in closet with a lake view- not a room. We had to keep one of our luggages in the bathroom because it would not feet into the room.
The lake is gorgeous, there is a ferry that goes to Belagio every half an hour. Buy if you don't want to be attached to the ferry schedule all the time, I would recommend to stay in Belagio, it is much better location than Cadenabbia (there is really nothing in Cadenabbia)
Breakfast was pretty good, eggs bacon and other snacks. Breackfast room has a killer view of the lake.
We later found out that this hotel is really a Pension which attracts mostly retired people. So if you are a young couple or solo traveler, I would keep searching for other hotels. There are many of them in better location and better price.- 09-Sep-2007 |
