There was a problem with one of the rooms however the hotel went out of their way to sort out the problem and gave us complimentary champagne, coffees and a refund for one night. The hotel is over a 20 minute tram ride from the centre and the pathway to the tram has no lighting would not recommend for a group of girls. Also we were not in the main hotel but an annexe which again had poor lighting. Rooms are basic (no curtains just a net) and old fashioned but clean however the bathrooms had been modernised and were to a good standard. - 28-May-2008 This hotel represents excellent value for money (but remember you get what you pay for) the rooms were all kept clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable and warm and there was plenty of hot water. It is situated beside the no 9 tram line (which takes about 15 mins to reach Wencelas Square) and there is a stop right outside the hotel. Our party age group was 45-75 and we all found the hotel satisfactory for our needs and a good bargain at the price. We would stay there again. There is however a fairly steep slope up to the hotel (which can be mounted by either a driveway or steps) and anyone with walking problems may struggle.- 31-Oct-2007 We have stayed in hotel Golf a number of times. It is comfortable though basic. Our room this time lacked a curtain over one of the windows and so was rather light in the morning and lacked privacy as we were on the ground floor. Breakfasts are good and the refurbished entrance and lobby that we had not seen before was impressive. Getting into town is easy by tram and the hotel sells tram tickets along with some beautiful glassware. If you happy with a comfortable basic hotel with a good breakfast choice at very reasonable prices then the Golf is the one! - 22-Jun-2007 |
