Guests on business can avail the meeting facilities that can accommodate up to 40 persons. You can utilise the fitness room for your workout sessions.
 Stayed 5 nights at the Georgian Hotel. Location is great being near the water, the Santa Monica Pier and the 3rd Street Prominade. The downside is that it's right next to the busiest bus and truck route in town. We had a seaview room on the 2nd floor, with all the noise from the nearby traffic. After only one night, we moved up to the 7th. We still struggled to get more than 5 hours of interrupted sleep. For the money you pay here, you'd want a better night's sleep than that.
The level of service varied greatly. The housekeeping and door staff were consistently excellent, but the staff behind the check in counter varied greatly. It was difficult to get information about local buses, what tours were available and booking a transfer to the airport almost became a disaster when the hotel staff moved our pickup back by 45 minutes without advising us before doing so.
Bottom line, if a good nights sleep and value for money are what you are want, then this may not be the hotel for you.- 08-May-2007 |
