General
For those who love to shop, there are Dublin's top boutiques and departmental stores, available close by. You can also enjoy many musical and cultural weekends, standing on the grounds of the former Music Hall, on Fishamble Street.
The hotel was clean, and quiet, and close to must-see tourist sites. It had a mini-refrigerator. The breakfast was full-Irish, served individually, and quite good. The bar and restaurant are under new management, who preferred an Asian theme--gilt Buddhas in the bar! The hotel rooms have suitable musical decor. There was no air conditioning, but rooms have ceiling fans. Windows open to the street, and it was cool enough at night to appreciate the covers. Extra pillows were provided. Maps of Dublin are kept under the counter. Lobby is dark, but desk was helpful in calling a cab, and in emailing directions to give a cabbie when we arrived late at night. We will probably stay there again on our next trip. - 14-Sep-2005 The Hotel was in a really good potition for the Temple Bar area, about a minute away. So it was quite close but not too noisy after the pubs shut! The breakfast was lovely! - 02-Oct-2003 |
