 The Beds was very poor and uncomfortable, we sleept very badly and was tired each day.
The door to the balkon could would not close entirely, the wind kept blowing in - in january it is a chilly experience! The toilet was running all the time, so we had a constant sound of running water - quite annoing!
However the location could not be better, the hostal is placed in the center of Madrid, Plaza de la Sol. The best location in Madrid.
The service is exellent, the staff was always helpful and in a good mood. There is always staff at the hostal.
Breakfast was standard, cornlakes, milk, bread, butter and jam with coffee, the and milk. I will not recommend it.
We enjoyed our stay in Madrid, and we will deffently go there again - but we will not stay at the Hostal Puerto del Sol Madrid again. We will deffently try to find another place.
If you will go there, book only one night, and try to find another place, once you get there. There is a lot of good places to stay.- 07-Feb-2008 The Puerta del Sol square the hostal looks out over is currently having work done on it and is a building site. - 26-Mar-2007 I found the manager of the hostel not to be very friendly, and
as a result did not enjoy my stay in the Hostal.
