 This is certainly not a business hotel. You have no telephone directories in the room. The directory avalable in the lobby is in chinese and no yellow pages in English also available.
Room has safe-deposit locker but the instruction to use it is in Chinese!!
You can stay in the hotel if you have no business to transact. The business centre staff is extremely friendly, however.- 07-Sep-2005 The hotel is spread over 5 buildings (4 residentail towers and one central restaurant block), making it quite far to get from one place to another. It is hard to find good gyms in Chinese hotels. This one is better than several others I''ve seen, although it too can improve on its variety and quality of equipment.
Staff are generally very friendly. One manager helped me carry my luggage weighing 25KG from one building of the hotel to another (a much longer walk up and down stairs than one would have imagined) and refused any tip. Waiters in restaurant however are more pushy -- trying to make you order the expensive dishes -- and slow with service. I was not served tea until I agreed to pay for it. Then, I was served cold rice. When I complained, they took it back and microwaved it, so the rice was luke warm but the bowl became too hot to hold. - 07-Sep-2005 Nice hotel with lots of facilities, spoilt by the downright rudeness of many staff. Reception particularly rude and extremely unhelpful. Restaurants overpriced and not particularly exciting. Only saving grace was the British bar where staff clearly had not been briefed properly by the hotel management and were in fact friendly and attentive, with a good atmosphere in the bar. - 07-Sep-2005 |
