The rooms were quite small but comfortable. The food whilst a limited menu was very good.- 26-Sep-2008 The rooms were a dissapointment and in desperate need of an update. For example, the extractor fan in the bathroom made so much noise when you switched the light on that it was painful! The bed was uncomfortable, the curtains were ripped and shabby, the Tv set was ancient.
The room was small with a poor layout. Overall we flet very deflated when we arrived at our room and felt we would rather be in our own bed at home, not the break away that we looked forward to.
On our last night we were charged £27 for a plate of sandwiches and cold potato wedges that we descovered were leftovers from a wedding reception in the hotel and they had already been paid for by the wedding party! On checking out of the hotel we were asked to pay a further £21 for bar food , when we had not spent that evening at the hotel.
Overall very dissapointed and will not be staying here again or recommending this hotel.
To end on a positive note, the hotel bar was very stylish and pleasant to relax in.- 10-Sep-2008 Rooms are clean although a bit small considering the price we paid. Beautiful surroundings and the best part of the hotel stay is the breakfast whereby the food was good and fresh. This is the first time I see my children thoroughly enjoyed English breakfast. Wonderfully quiet and restful. A bit outside Oxford so do need a car. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. Would recommend friends to stay there.- 04-Jun-2008 |
