Location
Excelsior Palace Hotel stands on a superb promontory of Taormina and is bordered by the remains of the Greco-Roman walls.
Rooms
The hotel rooms are elegant and soberly furnished according to the canons of bioarchitecture that grants both comfort and functionality. All the rooms comes with all modern amenities and have balconies with views either over the ocean or of Mount Aetna.
Restaurant
The traditional restaurant offers a variety of Italian and international dishes accompanied by a wide selection of wines. The elegant rooms of the piano bar invites guests to have a pleasant moment of relaxation either by listening to music or reading.
General
The conference room is well-appointed for organising any congressional activity and can hold a maximum of 100 people. At leisure, guest can take a walk in park annexed to the hotel or the pathway that leads to the wonderful swimming pool, which has splendid view of the volcano and the bay of Naxos.
 Character hotel in excellent location at the end of the main street running through Taormina. The pool is a stroll away through the private gardens and has privacy and lovely shade trees for those who would prefer not to roast! Highly recommended.- 16-Oct-2009 Advantage - The hotel was located in the center of Taormina. This was excellent as you could come and go without using your car. A car should be avoided as Taromina is very compact with very small and curvy one-way streets.
Advantage - The hotel had a very nice swimming pool. Both sun and shade were available. The bar was open. It served drinks and light snacks.
Advantage - The hotel offers a 40% discount for parking.
Advantage - The room was spacious, clean, and quiet.
Neutral - Our hotel room offered a very nice balcony and view of Mount Etna but not of the coastline.
Disadvantage - Even though there were many advantages to this hotel, I felt that the room was overpriced at EUR 200 per night. I would have expected something more for this price, although I cannot explicitly specify what that would be.- 15-Jun-2008 |
