First impressions very good - lovely reception area, very friendly staff. However, the room was one of the smallest I have ever stayed in - not much more than 60cm space all round the bed. Since it's an old building, it seems they just took a large chunk out of the room to provide a bathroom - which is big and very good. Room overlooks a courtyard where breakfast is served, and is very noisy early in the morning (7am on) - even with the window closed you can hear the noise. Good air conditioning - which would definitely be needed in summer.
Hotel is in a residential area about 30 minutes walk from the Cathedral and Alcazar, and is 5 minutes from the river. We didn't try public transport, because the best way to get to the sites in the Hoistoric Centre is by walking.
There are a couple of good restaurants within a few minutes walk (inclding one of the best in Seville, called Az Zait), but for a wider choice, you have to go into the centre. - 23-Oct-2009 Very noisy. You can hear everything your neighbors do.- 17-Oct-2009 The only downside to our stay was the beds. The mattresses were so hard we both woke up with bad backs. When complained staff said "they must be new"!- 07-Jul-2009 |
