We dined at the restaurant in the hotel on the evening of our arrival and found the food to be bland and over-cooked. The internet room was also out of order for our entire stay - 5 nights. The location of the hotel is central, however the noise of the traffic at night can disrupt your sleep, the windows in our 3 rooms actually vibrated heavily when traffic passed! As a result I would not recommend rooms at the front of the hotel. We booked 2 triple rooms and 1 twin room, and all rooms were cramped.
The main good thing about the hotel was that it was kept spotlessly clean at all times. - 28-Apr-2008 Smart hotel in a convenient location close to Roma Termini. Walking distance to all the sights and shopping. Great restaurants surround the area particularly around the theatre area behind the hotel. If you dont feel like walking the metro, taxi and buses are right at your door. Free internet is a huge plus. Breakfast was not included but there is a fantastic cafe about 10 metres from the hotel that serves fresh pastries and awesome coffee. If you dont want a cafe then there is a supermarket right across the road from the hotel. The windows are double glazed so noise is not a problem... if you are sensative to noise though ask for a room in one of the side streets as Via Nazionale is a main road. The staff were freindly and efficient with house keeping on the ball. A great find at a reasonable price.- 18-Feb-2008 This was a four star hotel. We booked it for a bit of luxury. The room was very small, room 130. The hotel staff were unhelpful and rude and never apologised even when clearly in the wrong. On the morning we were leaving we were persuaded to take a limousine to the airport. We booked it at 7 am for 8am. By 8 10 am it had not arrived. When we asked the same receptionist shrugged and said there was no car available. He did not think to tell us or that he should have organised alternative transport. We were left rushed and in the hands of the porter who did get us a taxi. Also the dining room was closed and breakfast was in a bar accross the road. The food was ok but on the last morning by 7 15 every table was dirty as a big party was leaving early and they did not have enough cups to provide tea or coffee to the next sitting. Disappointing hotel, over priced at £150 per night and over rated. - 17-May-2007 |
