 A really excellent hotel - with excellent staff. Within comfortable walking distance from all you need to see in Porto. The hotel is also located near many superb restaurants. One blot was that we couldn't stay at the hotel on the first night because of a mix up with the hotel computer system. However, the hotel put us up in a 5 Star hotel with breakfast and placed a bottle of champagne in our room the following night to make up for everything. One of the reasons I enjoyed Portugal and Porto so much was this hotel! - 13-Aug-2009 Very good hotel with excellent breakfast in a central but rather dislocated position. - 21-Sep-2008 Rooms are very good, and quiet but with view over rundown housing and flats at rear.
The hotel is a good 20 minutes [downhill] walk to the waterfront - much longer coming back, the hills are very steep, but Taxis are cheap.
Reception staff charming and very helpful. Poor bar service, and rather inflexible seating arrangements at breakfast.- 19-May-2008 |
