although the hotel overall was clean the bathrooms could do with a good scrub ie the tiles looked grubby and the bathmats were stained nothin a good douse of bleach wouldnt fix. please note that children 16 and under are not allowed in the pool without supervision, there is not always a lifeguard also.- 09-Aug-2007 Its far out of the city centre, right below the Erskine Bridge on the South side of the Clyde. The hotel is like a poor mans Marriot, it has the bar, the sauna, the pool, the exercise room. But the hotel rooms are a little bit run down.
But then, you get what you pay for, £51 for 2 people B&B with these facilities is great. The room was a good size, the bathroom had a bit of mould and a bit of a strange smell. The room was too hot and teh only way to cool it was to open the window.
Staff were exceptional. At check in we said we were planning on going to see a movie. The receptionist phoned the cinema and got us times for the film we wanted that night without being asked.
Breakfast was Scottish and filling! A self serve full cooked breakfast serving.
The hotel also does Park & Fly deals. I would recommend it for a 1 or 2 night stay but not for a full holiday.- 17-Jul-2007 Enjoyed our stay at this hotel, it was convenient for a wedding we were going to.
The hotel is in a prime position and if updated wouold be excellent.
We were in an 'upgraded room' which was fine but the public areas need attention.
Breakfast was good.
Would recommend the hotel for access to the airport or a weekend break. - 31-May-2007 |
