What a fantastic place. We stayed at 2 other hotels after this one and were disappointed by both. Congratulations to the owners. we will return.- 11-Aug-2006 A very different hotel, like staying with friends. Sauna and pool were great. Beautiful breakfast. Help yourself coffe, tea, juice, wine and fino at any time. We had lots of nice conversation with other guests in the bar and and the terrace. Several very nice common spaces -bar, library, Tv room, terraces but all intimate and cosy. Eclectic furnnshing and colours. We loved out tower!- 31-Mar-2006 Paradise! Imposing heavy doors (security code after 11pm) mark the entrance. Inside are congenial staff and a relaxing labyrinth. I advise taking up the hotel tour offer. The bar (self-service beer, wine, coffee, soft drinks all inclusive) leads onto the breakfast area (8-12 with demo. hot dishes from which to choose). Then to the tropical plant and uncaged bird area and onto the pool room (1Eu) with free (slow) internet and a fire for winter. The garden’s not enormous, but has many seating areas with plenty of foilage for intimate moments. The pool serves to dip rather than swim. Rooms are lovely, with character and very comfortable (a/c, TV), with small but functional bathrooms. Smoking is allowed throughout the hotel.
The hotel is situated on the opposite edge of the old city to the bullring, slightly out of the tourist epicentre. It is down rather a large hill from the shops/ most restaurants (no restaurant in the hotel). Highly recommend.
