 Good location, very pleasant staff. A lot of building work going on around the hotel so not a quiet time around the pool during the day. Evening however was very pleasant. As Singapore seems to be a massive building site I can't see how you would escape the noise anywhere.- 03-Jul-2008 The really bad thing about the hotel was it's location. It is at the top of the street which is a hill. It took me about 10-15 mins just to walk to Orchard road station. It was very tiring to walk as Singapore is very hot! The rooms are a bit old and I was given a smoking room instead of my booked non-smoking room which smelt a little bad. If you want to stay near orchard road stay on orchard road!!! Spend the extra 50-100 $ it will be worth it believe me! The receptionist were nice and helpful. Though it did take them a while to fax through my voucher but I was given a drink and a leather chair. I would not stay here again however as I think I would pay the extra for a more comfortable room and better location. [Other hotel] is just done the street but is still a fare walk from Orchard road but my have better rooms. The area was quiet but I think I would of preferred to of stayed on Orchard road. Would not stay here again due to location and comfort.- 10-Oct-2007 A very pleasant hotel on the edge of Orchard Road. The Superior Room was good and clean but relatively small. The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel food and beverages were slightly more expensive than expected in comparison with other places we ate and drank in. If you are looking for a panoramic view of Singapore you will be disappointed and need to book into a hotel further west of the city. The hotel were very accomodating in allowing us to hold our room for a further 7 hours due to a late evening flight. This did cost $105SD but was worth it. This is something that other travellers could be advised of when booking. Overall a good, clean functioning hotel.- 16-Mar-2007 |
