 The location of hotel was accessible to all major tourist attractions which was handy. The staff were accomodating and very helpful. The only issue was that the bed was really hard.- 13-Jan-2009 For a 4-star hotel, the service wasn't very good. The front desk wasn't very helpful. They would look around in space and busy themselves as I approached the front desk. I was always the first to ask for help instead of them asking how they could help me. It could be due to the fact that only one or two of them could speak English. They probably didn't want to help the foreigners because it was too difficult for them.
I also ate in the restaurant on the 2nd floor and it seemed like nobody knew what they were doing. It took a long time to even get a menu and be seated at a table.
The only decent thing about this hotel is the location. It's a 5-10 minute walk from Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Mao Mauseloum, Front Gate. It's about a 10 minute walk to Wangfujing street. - 18-Mar-2008 This hotel is excellent value in a quiet street 10min walk to tiananmen,forbiden city an wangfujing and the subway. the staff speak a little english enough to get you what you want but that is it.
