 Hotel was located right outside a tram stop and within a 2 minute walk of the train station. The hotel itself is located in a somewhat seedy area, with many strip clubs and drunk youths. But as we were in the hotel by 9pm each night it was ok. Room was lovely and even included a chandelier but the walls were so thin between adjoining rooms we could hear EVERYTHING next door. Breakfast was a big disapointment, we went down at 8.30am and there was basically nothing left and nothing was refilled and the lack of available seating meant we had to stand and wait for a while before even getting a table. Service at front desk was friendly. But small front desk and the fact there was only usually one server meant waiting for a while before getting or returning room key. - 21-Aug-2007 We could not recommend this hotel. Despite having made a reservation for a triple room six months in advance, the person on reception thought it acceptable to put our five-year-old daughter in a separate room on her own at the other end of a long corridor. In the event, she slept with her mother. The matter was rectified the following morning, but we were then put in a room at the front of the hotel where there was very noisy traffic all night, plus a noisy nightclub until 4.30am.
On one occasion, after waiting 15 minutes in a queue at reception to get our room key, I felt justified in going into the staff only area to get the key myself.
The rooms are stuffy and the hotel needs airconditioning.

Be sure to request a quiet room at the back of the hotel as the front rooms can be hot in summer and very noisy if the widows are opened- 21-Jul-2007 |
