Really disappointed with hotel. Jane Austen is supposed to have spent her 21st birthday there - I don't think it has been decorated since. Carpet along hallways were torn, stained and badly badly worn and actually verging on being dangerous for tripping up. No wardrobes in bedroom for hanging clothes - a shelf had been put up with coat hangers! Finishings in bedroom looked like DIY gone wrong. All-in-all a hotel desperately needing refurbished from top to bottom.
We will never ever go back.- 19-Sep-2008 The hotel had a `run down` feel to it. Our room was very small and the view from the window was on to a rather delapidated back court area. It was approached from a corridor with a threadbare carpet which was dirty and paintwork extremely shabby. Not exactly welcoming. Had we been staying more than two nights in S`hampton we would have moved to another hotel. Sorry but we won`t be staying there again.- 12-Dec-2007 Heating didn't work, windows are not double glazed, carpet worn through in corridors. staff unhelpful. - 09-Dec-2007 |
