A GOOD HOTEL WITH GOOD FACILITIES.THE GROTTO SPAS & SAUNA WEREN'T UP TO MUCH.BIT DIRTY WITH ANTS ALL OVER AND BITS FLOATING IN WATER CONSIDERING REST OF HOTEL WAS CLEAN.GOOD CHOICE OF SELF SERVICE BREAKFAST IN A MORINING IN RESTAURANT.STAFF ON RECEPTION HELPFUL.CLOSE TO SOME TOURIST POINTS.5 MINS IN TAXI TO ROTORUA CENTRE.- 09-Mar-2009 If there was air conditioning in the room I couldn't find it although they did have a fan on the ceiling. The room was exceptionally hot. Otherwise everything else was fine.- 13-Feb-2009 The hotel was a little older and slightly dated. Despite the temperate weather, needed air-conditioning. We were forced to open the window and smell that lovely sulphur air.
Unfortunately the facilities like the sauna and hot grotto spa's were a little dated and infested with ants. The hotel itself was beggining to show its age. The Japanese bar was really enjoyable though.
I probably would chose to stayperhaps closer to the lake and away from the sulphur stink of hot springs. - 15-Jan-2009 |
