Located in city centre, close to Gothic Quarter and beaches, Del Mar Hotel is located in a major tourist area in Barcelona, in the Plaza Palacio in a building, which has been declared a National Artistic Monument. It is surrounded by Barcelona's most important monuments, Gothic Quarter, Civilian Government, Picasso Museum, zoo, harbour, Ciudadela Park and many others sites worth visiting.

Del Mar Hotel does not have a restaurant, but has a breakfast room that is tastefully decorated and offers a hot buffet breakfast.

Del Mar Hotel is ideally located for travellers who wish to stay in the city centre and also near to the sea.
 This hotel is situated in an area ideal to all tourist attractions. Las Ramblas, Port, Cathedral, all only 5 to 10 minutes casual walk. The Hotel itself has a small 24 hour Reception with extremely helpful staff. The room I had was a very large corner room on the 3rd. floor with 2 windows / balconies, very modern with a quite a big bathroom. A buffet breakfast was included in the price and was good. I would certainly return to this hotel on my next visit. Also, directly across the road is a small Irish pub which really comes to life later in the evening. - 28-Nov-2007 Everything in the hotel is new. Our room had a nice balcony, and the position of the hotel is perfect. Would stay there again. - 16-Apr-2007 Really loved it....The hotel is totally renovated, you have a nice LCD TV in your room and it offers the right standards of a 3 star hotel.
You can hear your neighbour flush the loo, but it isn´t disturbing. You´re in Barcelona, no time to spend in the Hotel! You´re too busy drinking Rioja Wine and tasting Tapas.
The location is the best. You are in the Ribera area of Barcelona, so 2 minutes to the beach..and only a 10 min. walk to the Ramblas and Plaza Catalonia. A block from the Hotel, is Port Veil. Other reviewers complained about the service. I found the staff very friendly and available. This southern European style of service can be sometimes misunderstood to some travellers but this does not mean the service is poor...it is simply Southern European....very cool and laid back :-)
My husband and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good bargain and a great place for their trip to Barcelona....would definitely return!!
