Prepare to be patient when checking in - there was a queue all the time I was there and the process seems to take ages. Finally when I got a room, I found to my horror it was already occupied! After profuse apologies I was allocated another room with a side view of the ocean. Although the hotel is clean, decoration and furnishings are a little tired, but still value for money. Be aware in addition to the cost of the room, there is a resort fee of $10 per night for sunbeds, pool towels etc. The breakfast was very good. Although it's on Collins, it is still some way off of the Art Deco region and South Beach unless you take a taxi. There is not that much to do nearby - apart from the beach! - 21-Mar-2008 An average old style hotel. Good pool, very bad parking system. From 30 to 40 minutes to get the car. Worse in weekend's nights. One hour to parking it's too much. - 11-Feb-2008 A very cool hotel with an old-school chic lobby. Great beach location and a clean, generous sized pool. Our standard room was nothing speacial, other than the spectacular view, but housekeeping was on top of their game. Overall, the building is showing signs of aging, but this certainly did not deter our enjoyment and comfort.- 20-Sep-2007 |
