Daydream Island Resort and Spa is the closest of the Whitsunday Islands to Shute Harbour, lying just 5 kilometres from the mainland. The island is also serviced by Hamilton Island Airport and is just a 45-minute trip across the Whitsunday Passage.

The resort is obviously very family, particularly children, friendly. There is also a great ability for those of us without children to enjoy the facilities without bother. For example the "Quiet Breakfast Room".
