The Crowne Plaza is located directly opposite the Glasgow Science Centre, new BBC and STV Headquarters. The hotel has an easy access to the shopping areas such as Braehead, Buchanan Galleries as well as Argyle Street and is at a walkable distance from the Tall Ship.

 Although a lot of money has been invested in the decoration and renovation of the hotel rooms and public areas there is still very much a problem with the air conditioning. We have stayed at this hotel now for the last 8 years as we attend a charity function held annually and although the rooms are an improvement, the air conditioning still does not function adequately. It is always unbearably hot in the rooms irrespective what setting you have the air conditioning on at.
Our experience on this occasion was spoilt by the housekeeping team continually trying to enter our room on a Sunday morning starting at 8.40 and even when we were just about to vacate the room they opened the door and walked in when we were still there.
Surely Reception and Housekeeping should speak to each other to make each other aware when a room has been vacated. Check out on Sunday is 12.00 and feel that we should be able to spend time in the room with out continual disturbance from Housekeeping.- 12-Mar-2008 |
