 When my friend & I arrived at the Resort we were greeted by concierge & they took our bags while my friend & I checked if our room was ready. We were able to check in at 10.30am instead of having to wait until 2pm which was much appreciated. We were able to get a room with 2 double beds & we also had a view as we were on the 19th Floor. The only thing that was a bit of an eyesore was the construction being carried out a street away. Next time I would ask to have a room over the other side of the hotel. The room was fine for what my friend & I needed as we didn't spend much time in the hotel as we were out sight seeing.
I would definately stay at this resort again as the staff were friendly & helpful. The decor in the room is abit outdated but the room was clean & all the appliances worked.

- 05-Jun-2008 Usual big hotel, very well located near beach and mall. Parking, $10 a day, is not owned by Marriott, so unless you are very lucky and grab a spot near the hotel, you will find yourself competing with all the local mall shoppers and can end up a distance from the hotel lobby. (Only a problem when wanting to carry luggage etc.) Buffet dinner a bargain if you eat before 7.30 (33% discount) AND use your hotel guest $5.00 discount . Great seafood!- 23-May-2008 Great position at Surfers -- with the shopping mall underneath, the beach and Hard Rock cafe close by. Some of the hotel facilities should be upgraded like the gym and pool area.
Prices for in house movies ($16) too expensive. Nice buffet breakfast and friendly staff.- 14-May-2008 |
