 I had been looking forward to a weekend away with my wife and have been disapointed with the lay out of the standard room, the room was very hot the room was on the 4th floor and looked out over the service yard. Which meant if the window was open you had all the noice from deliveries the nearby traffic and night staff smoking in the shelter. When I complaint the next morning I was meet with a not bothered attitude and after some debate has moved to a room on the 9th floor with air conditioning, most the staff where rude and spoke very little english. The best service we received all weekend was from a old Waiter looking after the bar. Next time I'll go back to the [other hotel] 10 minutes walk further along Bayswater Road. The hotel promised so much but delivered so little.- 23-Apr-2008 I've stayed here once before with my wife and was pleasantly surprised. Continental Breakfast poor.
Fire alarm woke us on first night around midnight which turned out to be a false alarm. Can understand this but were annoyed that after going outside and being allowed back in to the hotel we were then awakened another 4 times by the alarm sounding and each time before it stopped we were up and dressed.- 01-Apr-2007 |
