 The refurbishment recently completed makes this a nice place to stay. Double-glazing everywhere makes for great quiteness, even though the hotel is in a busy district. - 04-Sep-2006 This is a good, clean hotel with friendly, courteous staff, though the property is older and less luxurious than the other Copthorne hotel in Auckland. It is extremely convenient for anyone with business at the University of Auckland (two minute walk), and a short walk (10-15 minutes) from many other places in Central Auckland (Queen Street, Parnell, Quay Steet and ferry berths). The rooms are well appointed and very quiet. Try to get one facing the harbour for some great views.
My only complaint is the long time it took to get my internet booking and rate confirmed by the hotel (a couple of weeks), and the high price of breakfast in Zoe''s Brasserie and Bar attached to the hotel.
