 We were pleased with this hotel. Rooms: spotless; bathrooms small but modern with large fluffy bathtowels. Service: excellent - friendly and helpful at all times. When the hairdryer was out of order, a replacement was provided within minutes and with a smile. Breakfast: standard continental breakfast, nothing special but as much as you wanted. Location: very convenient for rail & bus station, but too far from the main attractions of the city to go back in the evening. However, a number of acceptable restaurants are to be found very close to the hotel, which suited us. We felt quite secure walking to the hotel from the station when we arrived late at night. Two ladies in their 60s considered this good value for money.- 14-May-2008 The Continentale Hotel Rome was a very nice hotel to stay in. It was about a five minute walk from the main train station which made getting to locations easy. It is also quite easy to walk to the main tourists attractions. We were surrounded by well priced resturants and the was a laundry mat 200m down the road. The hotel has a lift which makes it alot easy to get your bags to your room. Breakfast was nice and staff were friendly. I would stay here again.- 12-Apr-2008 the hotel is perfect for a weekend visit to rome... metro underground only 5 minutes walk , take you directly into historical centre.. only problem was the noise at weekend from "the yellow bar" just across the road till 2am .. solution.. ask for room at back of hotel.. otherwise great...staff very good.. breakfast ,great, ..nobody stands over you , watching how much you eat !! would recommend.. more like 3 star ,apart from noise over road.- 13-Dec-2007 |
