Clarion Hotel Santa Claus is in the very heart of Rovaniemi with a shopping mall in the same complex. Despite it's central location, the unique lappish nature is only a stone's throw away from the hotel. The hotel is close to most of the attractions and safari companies, which offer popular excursions such as snowmobile, husky dog, reindeer and riverboat safaris.

 This hotel is very conveniently located and perhaps the most established in the city of Rovaniemi. Only 15 mins taxi ride from the airport, it is within a stone throw of the shopping malls, restaurants and travel agencies where tourist can book local tours easily. The bus stop to Santa Clause Village is only 5 mins walk from the hotel. The size of the room was good, but bathroom amenities were lacking - there was only one bottle of "all-in-one" shampoo. We did not meet with many staff in the hotel except the reception staff who was generally friendly. However, when I called from the room to ask for an electric kettle, the lady answering the phone tried to explain to me the location of the kettle inside the room sounded a little impatient. The breakfast was average and we decided to skip it the 2nd day of our stay.
Overall, I would still recommend this hotel, as there doesn't seem to be another established hotel within the area.- 25-Jun-2008 We had a very pleasant experience at the Hotel Santa Claus Rovaniemi, which was very conveniently located in the heart of the city. Services available were good and rooms were comfortable and clean with nice bathroom.
