Very noisy about 1:30 - 3:00 AM on two nights running. Thumping noises, people shouting. Could not tell if there was repair work going on or someone was having a party. Would not particularly recommend the hotel unless location, its location is important.- 07-Sep-2005 Lovely ''period'' feel to the hotel. Good furnishings, perhaps the bathroom fittings could do with a revamp. Our 10 year old daughter kept commenting on a peculiar smell which we also noticed but got used to. Dhaba restaurant very good. We would definitely recommend the hotel for those who want character and good service.- 07-Sep-2005 Would recommend the place. Excellent location (and well serviced by nearby taxi stands), friendly staff. A popular venue for receptions etc so weekends can get busy; as a result, front-facing rooms can get noisy as valets arrange (via mikes) for guests' cars to be brought to the front gates.
Administratively, the hotel would benefit from improved coordination and communication between front desk, business centre, and the lobby manager.
