Ideal place to stay central city, spacious appartment (stayed in 2bdrm) staff really helpful as we arrived out of standard hours.- 22-Jan-2009 Very good hotel for staying after a evening at the theater. The desk service was very good and although the waiter dropped a glass of red wine which splashed our clothes, help was immediate and compensation was more than adequate. Will stay here again- 19-Dec-2008 We arrived in City Life after a 22 hour flight from London and were frankly a little disappointed in the quality of the room, which was rather faded and had a view of a car park. It also lacked a safe and when we pointed this out we were moved to a room on a lower floor, with an even worse view. However, I did not consider the safe to be secure as it was attached to plywood shelf, which could have easily been detached from the wall with a simple screw driver. There was also a almost total lack of drawer space, although we later discovered that this was not unusual in New Zealand hotels. The gym and swimming pool were OK and typical of what we would expect in a city hotel. The best thing about the hotel was probably its location in the centre of town, but away from the noisy bars around Prince’s Warf.- 07-Apr-2008 |
