 Although not quite as dreadful as some of the older reviews might suggest (there are signs of recent attempts to improve the motel, and I would guess that our room -- number 4 -- was one of the "renovated" ones), I would not recommend the Chipican highly. The place was generally run down -- there was no stopper for the bathtub, for instance -- and our room smelled strongly of mildew. However, towels were clean, and my husband and I appreciated the free wi-fi that came with the room. Unlike some of the other reviewers, we both felt fairly safe in the motel, however. - 17-May-2009 |
