The property is right in the heart of Singapore's most historic, colourful and well-known ethnic area, Chinatown. The Outram Park Mass Rapid Transit system, world famous People's Park and a budget shopper's paradise are all within walking distance.

 The hotel is located very close to the MRT station. However, the standard of the room is very poor. The bathroom is basically a shower box - 1.2 x 1.2 square meter - the room is very small - hardly any floor space - almost could not fit the suitcase on the floor. The TV was not working probebly and the lamp next to the bed did not work at all. Breakfast was included - it consisted of toast bread that was not even taken out of the bag - placed on a counter with butter and jam. The breakfast area was very small - two small cafe tables with 2 chair each - so of course you had to stand up and eat. Well I could keep on - stayed there for 4 days by myself. Would not recommend this place and not to couples at all. Really no difference between a 1 star hotel and this place. - 21-May-2007 The hotel is in a quaint area with a number of restored buildings surrounding it. It is a restored godown or shop house with plenty of character. The rooms are clean but a tad small. They are airconditioned with adequate facilities.
There is a computer with internet access next to the reception for guest usage.We noticed a number of taxis parked around the area - the drivers seem to congregate at a nearby restaurant for breakfast. You won''t have difficulty getting a cab. If you want cheaper transport, it is not too far to the MRT Station (Outram Park) and buses are plentiful on the main road. It is a short walk to an excellent selection of shops and restaurants are in good supply. This was a quaint hotel to stay in (shades of the Singapore of old) and we would certainly consider staying there again. It was value for money. - 07-Sep-2005 The room was very small, which would be fine, except that it had no window. The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful.
