This hotel is showing its age but the rooms are a good size with good furniture. Very convenient and easy location although access from a busy road may be an issue for people who do not know the area.- 14-May-2009 We had a First floor room facing parklands but all we could see was trhe roof of the verandah at the front of the hotel. We were not offered any drink vouches on check-in but did not eat there anyway.Main benefit is the location of the premises close to Adelaide CBD- 22-Apr-2009 Failure to give me a wake-up call on the first morning was a problem. I had only 50 minutes to get ready and take a taxi to the meeting which was the reason for my trip to Adelaide. I had no time for breakfast, not time to shower and no time to re-read my notes. I made the meeting at the right time, but I was not as well prepared as I would have been if I'd been woken at the requested time. Apparently the wake-up call entry was crossed out by someone. The next morning I did get my 5:00 am wake up call, so I didn't miss the plane.
The service in the restaurant was excellent, and the menu had quite a variety of dishes. The staff were helpful, and apart from the near-disaster of missing the meeting I'd come to Adelaide to attend.
Another comment that may be of help for others is that the bed was too hard for comfort, and I didn't get much sleep either night. Could there be available something like a foam rubber overlay mattress for paeople like me with rheumatoid arthritis? - 06-Apr-2009 |
