 The location of the hotel is excellent. Right on the main shopping mall and within easy walking distance to the Bund. A nice hotel. Staying in a twin room though (two people), we only got one key which was inconvenient. I would stay here again. The business centre is expensive (1hr internet 100RMB) compared to the internet cafe out the back of the hotel (1hr internet 2RMB). - 07-Sep-2005 Central Hotel Shanghai is for sure one of the best places in town, if the location is what you are looking for. One minute walk to Nanjing road and 15 minutes to the bund, makes it worth to stay there. The hotel itself is 3-4 stars, with quite big rooms, but nothing special. Staff is very helpful and there are regular bus shuttle services to Pudong airport.
Prices are ok, as the average price for a night in a hotel in shanghai is somewhat higher, than in other cities in china.- 07-Sep-2005 Staffs are friendly though some do not speak much english. My dad is not disabled but due to his very poor walking condition, we used the hotel wheelchair and find the staff at the concierge are very helpful, caring and nice. I appreciate this friendliness so much, it means a lot to me when the staff extend their caring attitude to the elderly. I will surely recommend and return to this hotel again on my next visit to shanghai. - 07-Sep-2005 |
