 What a lovely setting. We went low season but the hotel was full & staff very attentive. The view whilst breakfasting is wonderful & the food not bad either. I would certainly recommend this hotel if you like the personal touch. Rooms whilst not being luxurious have adequate facilities 'rustic' is how I would describe them but clean.- 25-Jan-2006 The Central Karon Hotel is ideal for couples who want to relax and get away from it all. The hotel is quiet, private, and very comfortable. Our large bed provided relaxing comfort during the day and wonderful sleep at night. The pools were small, but very nice for casual dips or sun bathing. But it is so easy to walk down to the wonderful Karon beach that the pool isn''t so important. I would say that the hotel is better suited for younger couples due to the romantic setting and uphill walking. Actually, I''ve read some people complain about the many steps at the hotel, but really it isn''t that bad. Walking up a few steps is well worth it after swimming in the beautiful waters of Karon beach. The hotel staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was very nice with a wonderful morning view on the terrace. We were thrilled with our choice and would highly recommend it to anyone. For the price, it was an excellent selection.- 07-Sep-2005 The hotel was great. We left our passports in the Taxi and spent our first
few hours in a stressed state. The hotel no only located the documents but
drove back to the airport and picked them up for us and delivered them to
our room the next morning. I had assumed that the hotel was on low ground
but as it turned out it was on a steep hillside which was great for views
but not so great walking back from the pool or to the beach. The hotel does
offer a small car which will pick you up and take you up or down the hill
but we decided that we did not want to wait and walked instead. The only
downside was that breakfast was not included and we assumed that it was so
the bill was a bit of a surprise. Overall very good value for money and
