We arrived at hotel approx 2.30 pm. two rooms were ready but had to wait 20 mins. for third room. Had dinner in hotel, two guest ( of five) were vegetarians. One 'veggie' meal came with chicken in it. This was quickly rectified, plus complimentary 330cl of wine. hotel very busy at time, wedding and vintage car rally, but plenty of staff serving. Spent rest of evening in bar. Our room was over wedding party.Suggest the rooms over 'party rooms' should be allocated to that party, not other guests. Overall - enjoyable stay. - 02-Jul-2009 What a lovely hotel! I booked this as I was attending a party being held in the hotel, and was pleased with my spacious room, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and the general impression created by a lovely old building.
My room, bedding and bathroom were immaculately presented, with plenty of complimentary tea/coffee/drinking chocolate etc.
It was a bit noisy first thing the next morning (as staff were moving the extra tables and chairs used for the party from the night before)
However, the lovely (included) full breakfast more than made up for that, and I was very happy with my stay here and would definitely book this hotel again. - 15-Oct-2008 Noise of slamming doors throughout the night. - 10-Sep-2008 |
