Location
Only a few metres from Paseo de Gracia and very close to Las Ramblas, the hotel is situated on a pedestrian avenue with a wide variety of shops and boutiques that connects Plaza Catalunya with the entrance to the Gothic Quarter. Other places of interest near the hotel include Montjuic and the Sagrada Familia Cathedral.

General
The Catalonia Hotel Albinoni has a multilingual staff at the 24-hour reception that offers a currency exchange service and can advise on the best attractions to visit around the city. The exterior solarium with its wood surface and a landscaped zone with palms is a perfect retreat to escape after an exhausting day. A swimming pool with an overflowing waterfall is also on offer for guests to nourish their spirits with a relaxing dip.

 This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Catalonia Albinoni and would recommend it to anyone travelling to Barcelona. The hotel is well situated just off Paza de Catalunya, so an ideal base for getting round all of the city. The rooms are comfortable, clean and are either at the front of the hotel with a small balcony (not suitable for sitting on) or at the back with not such a good view, however, nice sized private balcony with table and chairs. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.- 04-Jul-2006 Location is excellent. Close to Ramblas, shopping, restaurants and bars. Great atmosphere in Gothic area.
Hotel staff were freindly and very helpfull. All spoke excellent English for the non Spanish speaking tourist.
Room was very modern and of reasonable size with large bathroom.
Breakfast in the enclosed alfresco restaurant was a great way to start the day. The hotel deserves more than the 3 star rating given. - 31-Mar-2004 Good hotel in an excellent position, 100 metres from the tourist bus and in the main shopping area.
