 This is a beautiful location to stay, it has beautiful walks along the river shannon. The room we stayed in was very large and nicely furnished. Ensuite was lovely and plenty of room. A Word of warning the only fault I had was the hot water "it was scalding hot", and I had difficulty getting the right temperature for the shower, you certinely would have it sorted before you got in, otherwise you could get badly scalded.

Overall We enjoyed our stay in Castle Oaks House Hotel and had no complaints regarding the food.- 03-Jul-2007 This is a small country house hotel and the staff are very friendly. The setting is lovely with views of the mountains and lake nearby including the swans. Excellent breakfast and service very attentive. You will need a car to get to the hotel as it is in a country village. Only fault was the heating was on too high and the hotel felt a little stuffy as a result. Otherwise, no complaints and would highly recommend.- 13-Feb-2007 The hotel is located in a beatiful landscape and property. Rooms very big, clean and with a gorgeous view over the river Shanon.
