 We had booked continental breakfast, but our first morning when we went into the dining room where there was lovely spread of food but we were told we couldn''t have our breakfast there but had to take it in the bar. That was a bad surprise as we didn''t know there were two breakfast types - buffet style and continental. So being told to leave was embarrassing and we should have been pre-informed. The continental breakfast was fine itself but disappointing after seeing the buffet-style breakfast.
Room was excellent. And the safe didn''t require a key which was brilliant. The hotel was very satisfactory itself overall. - 07-Sep-2005 Annoying not being able to charge food/drinks taken in the hotel to the room bill. Had to pay separately for everything. Breakfast buffet good. Dinner reasonably priced but average. Room was functional. Maid service good. Just a few mins from beach. Plenty of shops/restaurants within easy walking distance. Street parking sometimes a problem ... but usually found somewhere within 5 mins walk.- 07-Sep-2005 We arrived at the hotel on Wednesday morning (8.10.2003) at 3 am after a very delayed flight from Birmingham. The concierge on duty was very nice and helpful. We had three lovely days stay at Castilla. The public rooms and bedroom were always extremely clean and well equipped. We shall certainly return and will recommend to our friends to stay there. The whole break was wonderful and we found everyone very courteous and friendly.
