We stayed two nights: night of May 6, 2008 and of the 8th. The staff is quite helpful, efficient and friendly. We could consult railway timetable on-line and this was very convenient: the internet facilities (including the hotel computer) being free of charge.
The hotel is centrally located, with Plaza del Sol at a walking distance, and close to metro station.- 13-May-2008 Good location, just one change with the Metro from the Airport. Short walk from the Plaza España metro station. A stone's throw from Gran Vía, but quiet. Two 'problems', though. Opposite the front of the hotel there is construction work with a lot of noise and dust - so be sure you don't get a front room. The size of the other problem depends on your neighbours - if you have any, you will know what they are doing. No soundproofing, in other words. But for me it was no big problem, really.
The night receptionist gave very useful advices on the subject restaurants. I was first given a front room but could change without problems the next morning. When I asked for a softer pillow, it was brought to my room alomst immediately. Helpful and friendly receptionists is my experience. Not far from the hotel I found a café where I had a simple breakfast for 2 euros... All in all: recommended!- 30-Nov-2007 The hotel is right in the centre near Gran Via. However the one-way street system can make it difficult for anyone trying to get to the hotel other than on foot or by taxi. But overall very good.- 20-Nov-2007 |
