Situated right in the heart of Venice, Canaletto Hotel Venice lies in a delightful and quiet spot only 5 minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square, renderining it an excellent base from which to explore the city. The closest waterbus stop is Rialto and the hotel is located off Calle San Lio.
Rooms
The bedrooms are pleasantly furnished in traditional Venetian style using pastel colour schemes.
Restaurant
The hotel has a breakfast room that is also elegantly decorated in the 18th century Venetian style, with beautiful chandeliers and mirrors made of glass.
General
The lounge area is similarly decorated, with small arrangements of padded regency style chairs and is the right place for guest's to relax after a tiring day.

 The rooms could be larger and the breakfast more interesting but on the whole it's a good, friendly well located place to stay.
But beware mosquitoes when sleeping with open windows, even in early March! If you are allergic take precautions or you'll get comprehemsively bitten- 08-Mar-2008 The Canaletto is difficult to find at first but well worth it. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious, with lovely painted furniture and a Venetian glass chandelier. The service was friendly and professional. Breakfast was of standard quality but plenty of variety and no limit on how much you ate. It was also served till 10.00 which was good as it was easy to sleep in as the room was so quiet!
The marble floors were a bit cold underfoot for February but would probably be lovely in the summer.- 04-Mar-2008 Great small hotel, great location, very quite, very clean & friendly staff. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. We will definitely stay there again. - 23-Nov-2007 |
