The Bushlands Game Lodge is located in the beautiful city of Hluhluwe and is only 12 kilometres away from the city centre, thus having easy access to the surrounding attractions.

All the guest rooms are equipped with standard amenities and are beautifully decorated in cottage style fabrics, offset by wooden furniture.

General
After an exhausting day of sightseeing, the guests can relax in the lobby or sip a drink in the comfort of their room. This luxurious wooden lodge built on stilts is elevated above a sand forest where many local game species are found.

 Very nice to stay with the animals so close, we saw antelopes walking around the cabin, and took a walk around the game lodge park and got pretty close to giraffes, nyalas and monkeys. The staff was very nice. However, we did find it a bit tiresome that there was a bad dirt road to get to the national park of Hluhluwe (30 km) and into the village (13 km) to do grosery shopping, making the location a bit "off range". We had a five days/four nights stay, and that was a little long for this location, and a little tiring to go to St Lucia to see the hippos (almost one hour each way). A very good place to stay, would recommend it, but a two nights stay would have been perfect.- 18-Feb-2008 |
