The hotel was in a good enough location for Gatwick Airport and on the whole it was comfortable enough. The restaraunt was just ok and so was the service. Fuzzy local TV on a tiny screen was funny, and the carpark was a pain. As a place to bed down at a budget for Gatwick, it works. For romance, a good dinner, or a little luxury try elsewhere.- 19-Dec-2007 Breakfast finished at 9.45, far to early esp as I had a weekend booking. There were poor facilities in regard to the inability for light refreshments from 10.00 to 11.45. The rooms were clean and the hotel apt for one nights stay but I do feel cheated that dinning facilities did not continue till mid morning as a result I feel i have not had value for money. - 10-Sep-2007 The first impression of the Europa Hotel was excellent. The Hotel is set in beautiful gardens with an attractive appearance. The interior was of a reasonable standard; although showing some need of small renovations. The room provided was entirely acceptable for the rate paid. The concern shown by Hotel staff for their guests was however disappointing. Dinner was an arduous process having to pay in advace for each course and refreshment; with a member of the restaurant staff seating himself at an adjacent table when closing time of 9:45 approached and making it apparent that I should leave. Although I registered for the free transfer bus to the Airport the reception staff made no attempt next morning to advise me that the arrangements with the bus had been changed and leaving me with a £15:00 taxi cost to catch my flight. The total unconcern shown by the Hotel staff to this situation was most regrettable.- 27-Jul-2007 |
