 We really enjoyed our stay and thought the rooms were wonderful. We had two teenage boys with us - and they didn't really enjoy the depth of the pool ( only 1.2m) but that is teenage boys for you. I liked the location on the hill as you could go two ways down the hill for the 'flash' Hastings St shops and beach or the other shops - which we also enjoyed. A great stay.
