The hotel and our entire experience were excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. Our top floor room and balcony were beautiful, the breakfast outstanding and the staff very friendly and helpful, around the clock. We decided at 2AM that we wanted a driver for an early tour of the temples, and they had a great one waiting for us at 6:30AM after calling our room at 5:30AM to confirm. Very impressive.- 25-Apr-2008 We arrived to find that the deluxe rooms that we''d booked had been taken by a French tour party - an annoying fact...and were offered standard rooms in the hotel annexed "at standard room rates"...well, at least we weren''t asked to pay deluxe room rates! Apart from this, the hotel laid on a very competent driver to take us to the temples of Angkor (ask for Kim if you go) and the pool, food and staff were very good. If we go back, we''ve been promised the best room in the hotel! - 07-Sep-2005 The Borei Angkor is tucked away like a little oasis off of a busy main road. Upon arrival we were told that our deluxe room had been upgraded to a Borei suite which was a real treat to end our holiday on. I thought the location of the hotel was fine, but then I never like to stay right in the heart of the tourist area''s anyway, but saying that a tuk tuk from the hotel was $1.00 per person + took 5 mins to reach the old market. The pool was refreshing + relaxing after clambering over temples all day. We did not use the gym and neither did anyone else whilst we were there, unless you are a complete fitness freak the gym is adequate. Breakfast was very good and most importantly the staff were extremely friendly + helpful. Beware of the 10% which gets added on to everything from drinks to phone calls.
