 Lovely hotel converted from 2 townhouses in fantastic location close to Galleries, Leidser Plein (the best non red light area for dining and barsin the city) and just round the corner from the most prestigious shopping street in Amstersdam. Rooms were clean tidy and well presented. Only down sides were a small inaccessible bath, steep stairs (take the lift but watch your kids fingers!) and a horrendously hefty charge for using the internet. Staff were warm and friendly. Breakfast was of good quality but a bit minimalistic from the room itself to the variety of food offerings available. (probably not worth the additional cost if it is not included in your room rate). The hotel is a short tram ride in to the city centre however we generally walked everywhere as most attractions are within a 20-30 minute walk.- 11-Jun-2009 A pleasant stay in a lovely location.- 28-Oct-2008 Clean and a welcoming stay. The service and breakfast was excellent! A very short walking distance to the museums. The only down side was the size of the double room and the bathroom - however this added to the character of the hotel.
