Great location, near the Tube but in a quiet street. Initially allocated room 1, which was a dungeon (2 levels down!) but then moved to the 4th floor which was fine.
The room was tiny with barely enough room for two people to move around but well equipped. Clean and comfortable though very little water pressure in the shower. All in all, the location and cleanliness won the day and I will certainly stay here again - as long as it's above ground :).
- 29-May-2008 The hotel is very well located near Earl's Court tube station and restaurants, but at the same time in a quiet street.
We took a double room at a last minute rate through ratestogo. The room itself was very small, and not worth the full price but for the rate that we paid it was good value.
The service is friendly and helpful, but we found a problem when paying the bill. They first wanted to charge us the full amount whereas some of it was pre-paid when booking. They seemed to have little experience with people booking through ratestogo, so better make sure and check the amount before paying!- 08-May-2008 Our key card got deactivated 2 days in a row even though we were staying for 5 nights. Didn't quite like it when a staff retorted that the key card got deactivated because it was placed near a credit card. It is NO excuse. I've stayed in many hotels before and it's the first time I'm hearing this explanation. Some staff were friendly, but not all. Concierge were extremely helpful and even let us loan his computer when the other one meant for customers was occupied. Toilet was clean but the bath mat had black marks on it on the 2nd day. Fire Alarm went off on early Friday morning. Please inform guests in person this is going to happen so guests aren't caught by surprise. I know it's in the guest info file but seriously, who goes through every single line of it? The biggest plus point is its proximity to Earl's Court station. - 05-Apr-2008 |
