 This hotel is set an a hill overlooking a lagoon. There is a road right next to the hotel so if you do not want to hear traffic noise ask for a room farther up the hill. The bad news is you will then have to climb a lot of stairs to get to your room. Luckily they have some poor soul who will carry your bags. The hotel has a somewhat tired feel. The rooms do not have individual temperature control for the AC, just on or off. The lighting in the rooms is poor and the TV was small. Very basic accommodations. The free breakfast buffet was pretty weak. The “resort” does offer two fairly nice pools. You can easily walk to Karon beach or town and Patong is a short Tuk Tuk ride away.- 07-Sep-2005 The staff at the hotel was so helpful. We rented a jeep (at the hotel), which actually got a flat tire in the middle of the day. They sent someone to get it and gave us the jeep again the next day for free. The hotel was a good value for the money. The pools are very nice and relaxing if you get tired of being at the beach.- 07-Sep-2005 I Dont rate it at all. Yeah sure it has all the ammenities but the breakfasts were terrible, the place is clean but very old and in desperate need of renovation. The view from the room looks over a stagnant man made lagoon, which is hardly appealing. The pools are tiny and without shade and if you are unfortunate enough to be placed at the top of the hotel you will have to hike up 100 or so steps before you can get to your room, and thats after taking a lift. The place is devoid of Thai character with no natural surroundings and I would classify it as a 2 star resort at best. Give this a wide birth. - 07-Sep-2005 |
